Voddler.co.uk is a content website, not a confirmed streaming service. It has sections for apps, gaming, movies, sports, and anime. Most of what appears there is articles and guides. No clear movie library or paid plan run by the site was found.
The name Voddler also belongs to an older Swedish streaming company. That company went bankrupt in 2018. No verified link between it and the current website has been found.
What Is Voddler.co.uk?
Voddler.co.uk looks like a blog-style website about entertainment and technology. Its menu includes Apps, Gaming, Blog, Movies, Sports, and Anime. The latest posts cover tech, games, and streaming topics. This setup fits a digital publication better than a video platform.
Many people search for “Voddler” hoping to watch films. But a website can write about movies without hosting a single one. Streaming guides and “where to watch” lists work this way. So a Movies tab does not mean there is a player behind it.
What Does the Website Cover?
The menu gives a good idea of the topics. Each section is a subject area, not a feature you can use.
| Website section | Main topic |
|---|---|
| Apps | Apps, digital tools, and online services |
| Gaming | Games and gaming guides |
| Movies | Films and streaming-related articles |
| Sports | Sports topics |
| Anime | Anime and where to watch it |
| Blog | Posts on mixed subjects |
Take the Movies section as an example. It lists articles about alternatives to other streaming sites. That is a guide about other services. It is not a film library on Voddler.co.uk. The same goes for the anime, sports, and app articles.
Why Does Voddler.co.uk Cover So Many Different Topics?
Voddler.co.uk does not focus only on movies and streaming. Its homepage also features topics such as proxy tools, parcel shipping, gaming, and betting-related content. This wide mix suggests that the site covers general online topics as well as entertainment. It also means visitors should judge each article on its own subject, rather than assume every post is part of a movie-streaming service.
Is Voddler.co.uk a Streaming Service?
Based on the pages reviewed, it does not look like one. The pages show written content, not a Voddler-owned movie catalogue. They also show no rental options or clear subscription offer. This covers only the pages checked, not every corner of the domain.
A real streaming service usually makes three things easy to see. It shows what you can watch, it explains how to get access, and it tells you the price. The homepage did none of these as its own service. So it is safer to call Voddler.co.uk a site about streaming than a streaming site.
Can You Watch Movies Directly on Voddler.co.uk?
A built-in player or film library could not be confirmed. The Movies section seems to focus on written information about films and where to find them. New features could appear later, and some pages may have been missed. That is why the review date matters.
If you land on a page for a specific film, look at what it actually offers. Does it have a working player, or does it send you somewhere else? A title, a poster, or a guide is not proof that you can watch the film on the site.
Does Voddler.co.uk Offer a Subscription?
The homepage reviewed did not show a Voddler-owned subscription or price plan. So there is no clear reason to call it a paid movie service. If you ever see a payment offer, find out who gets the money. Check what you are buying and whether the charge repeats. Do not assume a payment unlocks a movie library unless the offer says so.
Voddler.co.uk and the Original Swedish Voddler
The original Voddler was a Swedish video-on-demand business. It offered online video streaming to the public. A shared name is not enough to show that today’s website belongs to the same company. Websites and businesses reuse old names all the time.
| Detail | Current Voddler.co.uk | Original Swedish Voddler |
|---|---|---|
| Main activity | Publishes articles on digital and entertainment topics | Offered online video-on-demand |
| Movie access | No Voddler-owned player found on the pages reviewed | Built around online video delivery |
| Technology | No sign of the old Vnet system | Used Vnet peer-assisted delivery |
| Business status | Operator’s identity is unverified | Voddler Group went bankrupt in January 2018 |
| Link between them | None verified | Historical Swedish streaming company |
This gap explains a lot of the confusion online. Older search results describe Voddler as a streaming platform because they refer to the Swedish company. Those results do not prove the current site offers the same service. The .co.uk website has to be judged on its own content, its ownership details, and what it can actually do.
What Happened to the Original Voddler?
The original Voddler was a video-on-demand company based in Stockholm. Its consumer streaming service launched in 2009. The company wanted people to watch video online. It used its own technology to help deliver that video.
Later, the business ran into trouble. Voddler Group went bankrupt in January 2018. That ended the original streaming business.
Key Dates in Voddler’s History
- 2009: The Swedish Voddler launches its consumer video service.
- 2013: Voddler’s Vnet technology was offered as a standalone product for other video services.
- January 2018: Voddler Group goes bankrupt.
These dates belong to the Swedish company. They do not tell us when the .co.uk website started or who runs it. They also do not show that the website continued the old service.
What Was Vnet?
Vnet was the video delivery technology used by the original Voddler. It was peer-assisted. That means connected devices could help pass along parts of the video data, instead of servers doing all the work.
In a normal streaming setup, the service sends video from its own servers to each viewer. In a peer-assisted system, other viewers’ devices may share some of that load. This can spread the work across the network. It can also reduce pressure on the central servers.
Peer-to-peer does not mean free or open to everyone. Voddler still controlled who could watch its content. Vnet described how the data moved, not who had the right to see it.
There is no sign that Voddler.co.uk uses Vnet. Think of it as part of the old company’s history, not a feature of the current site.
Is Voddler.co.uk Safe and Legitimate?
The public information found does not prove that Voddler.co.uk is a scam or that it spreads malware. But some questions about the publisher and its privacy practices are still open. That is a reason for caution, not a verdict of fraud.
Three findings stand out. The About Us page says very little. The Contact Us page names a company that could not be verified. The privacy policy still has generic template wording. Together they make it hard to know who runs the site.
No malware scan, phishing test, or payment test was run. No account was created, and not every outside link was checked. So the site cannot be called “malware-free” or a “confirmed scam.” Both claims would go beyond the evidence.
What Do the About and Contact Pages Show?
The About Us page has a heading but little else. It does not tell you who the publisher is or give a company history. It also does not introduce a team. After reading it, you still don’t know who is behind the site.
The Contact Us page gives more. It lists a company called “Voddler Ltd,” a London address, support hours, and a reply time of 24 to 48 hours. These are claims made by the website itself. I could not independently verify that Voddler Ltd operates this domain.
A name on a contact page is not the same as a registered company. It is also not the same as control of the domain. The three may be linked, but one does not prove the others.
What Is Unclear About the Privacy Policy?
The privacy policy talks about comments, IP addresses, cookies, and embedded content. It also includes the phrase “Suggested text” in several places. That phrase comes from the default WordPress privacy template. It suggests the policy was not fully written for this website.
This does not mean the site collects every kind of data the text lists. It also does not mean anyone’s data has been misused. The real issue is clarity. A visitor should be able to see what the site collects, why it collects it, and who is responsible. This policy gives little site-specific detail on those points.
How Should You Approach the Website?
A sensible rule is to use the site for reading and be careful with anything that carries extra risk.
- Do not share personal or payment details unless the service and the company behind it are clear.
- Do not download files that have no clear source or purpose.
- Check any streaming link on its own, and do not assume it is safe or licensed.
- Use a new, unique password if you decide to create an account.
These steps are precautions. They are not a claim that the website is harmful.
Who Owns Voddler.co.uk?
Who owns it could not be confirmed. The Contact Us page uses the name “Voddler Ltd.” But no independent record was found showing that this company runs the domain. So the owner is still unverified.
A proper ownership check needs a reliable legal or business record that points to the domain. Domain records can also be hidden by privacy settings. That makes the check harder, even for experts.
The same goes for the old Swedish company. No verified link was found between it and today’s website. It would be wrong to say the current domain belongs to the former business. It would also be wrong to say the “Voddler Ltd” listing is fake. The evidence supports neither claim.
What Should You Know Before Searching for Movies or Anime Here?
Voddler.co.uk can be useful if you want to read about entertainment. But its categories are not a list of films or shows you can watch there. Treat each article as information about other services.
When a post names a streaming platform, check who actually provides the content. For a film, look for a clear way to watch it. Then confirm that the named provider offers it in your country. For anime, see whether the article points to a known distributor or just talks about other websites.
The same care applies to app and gaming posts. If an article recommends a download or another service, judge that service on its own. A recommendation on Voddler.co.uk does not make the other site safe.

Final Thoughts
Voddler.co.uk and the original Swedish Voddler should be treated as two separate things unless solid evidence links them. The current site publishes articles on entertainment and technology. The old business was known for online video streaming and its Vnet technology.
The key facts about the current domain are simple. It has clear content categories, but little publisher information. It lists “Voddler Ltd” on its contact page, and it keeps generic wording in its privacy policy. None of this proves fraud. It does leave the operator, and any tie to the old company, unverified.
If you came looking for Voddler movies or anime, remember one thing. The site’s categories do not confirm that you can watch anything there. Check the service that actually offers the content, and do not judge it by the Voddler name alone.
